Compuware

Compuware Corporation and AMD

Compuware has entered into a technology agreement with AMD to add x86-64 support to its SoftICE64. Compuware will provide AMD with SoftICE64 to debug 64-bit device drivers. This agreement enables developers to more rapidly build software targeted for upcoming AMD OpteronTM and AMD AthlonTM 64 processors.

SoftICE, part of the Compuware DriverStudio product family, enables developers to accelerate the development and debugging of Windows device drivers. As part of this collaboration, Compuware will accelerate the development of its SoftICE64 technology to include support for AMD's 64-bit platform. The rapid development of peripheral devices will accelerate the adoption of this new 64-bit technology. In addition, AMD plans to employ Compuware DriverStudio for internal use by its driver developers.

Compuware Corporation provides business value through software and professional services that optimize productivity and reduce costs across the application life cycle. Meeting the rapidly changing needs of businesses of all sizes, Compuware's market-leading solutions improve the quality, ease the integration and enhance the performance of distributed, e-business and enterprise software. Founded in 1973 and based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Compuware had revenues of $2 billion in 2001. (Nasdaq: CPWR).
