Employee Involvement
Since the early 1980’s, AMD has supported the community interests of our employees.
Community Service
Many AMD employees worldwide regularly give their time and talents to enrich their communities and AMD offers and array of company-sponsored service opportunities. From sorting food and planting trees to tutoring students and donating blood, these service projects can be done as individuals, with families, or as a departmental team. Whatever the project, these activities are designed to serve local needs, encourage employee involvement, and demonstrate AMD’s commitment to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.
Board Service
In our highly competitive world, community organizations need business skills and expertise to succeed. AMD employees can make a valuable contribution by sharing their skills and insight through nonprofit board or community service. These employees serve as AMD’s “ambassadors” and gain greater understanding of the real issues and needs of the community. AMD’s Community Affairs team works with partner organizations to evaluate board requests and place individuals where appropriate.
Employee Giving Programs
US employees who donate time and money to eligible nonprofit organizations, schools and universities can request AMD funds to match their support. AMD’s Matching Gifts program provides a dollar-for-dollar match of financial gifts to charitable institutions. Grant Incentives for Volunteer Efforts (GIVE) provides financial gifts to agencies and schools where employees and their spouses regularly volunteer their time.
