AMD Geode™ LX Processor Family and AMD Geode™ LX DB800 Development Board
Low power and high performance offer x86 designers the capability to create without compromise.

The AMD Geode™ LX processor family consists of two versatile and powerful products - the AMD Geode™ LX 800@0.9W* processor, and the AMD Geode™ LX 700@0.8W processor**.

The AMD Geode™ LX 800@0.9W processor delivers the most performance per watt in the industry today, providing x86 power and versatility to applications for entertainment, business, education, and embedded markets. The AMD Geode LX 800@0.9W processor's innovative architecture and high level of integration delivers longer battery life and enables small form-factor designs for products such as thin clients, interactive set-top boxes, single-board computers, Personal Access Devices (PADs), mobile Internet and entertainment. The AMD Geode LX700@0.8W processor delivers great performance at lower power for value, embedded applications, and further extending battery life for mobile applications, while delivering full x86 functionality.

Design with greater efficiency

The AMD Geode LX 800@0.9W processor consumes a maximum power of 3.9W (TDP) and 1.8W typical at 500 MHz, while the AMD Geode LX700@0.8W consumes a maximum power of 3.1W (TDP) and 1.3W typical at 433 MHz. Designers can now focus on developing end products that efficiently meet consumer needs with far fewer limits imposed by software porting or compatibility.

Computer-On-Module design tool

The AMD Geode LX DB800 development board is a complete Computer-On-Module (COM), x86-compatible development tool designed to enable developers to quickly create embedded or industrial computing products using the AMD Geode LX 800@0.9W processor.

The complete tool suite includes two separate components:

  • CPU Module Board
  • Base Board

Developers can easily design these components into finished products without modification – simplifying the development process and leading to faster time-to-market cycles. The development board measures 170mm x 170mm and includes a 500 MHz processor.
