Far Cry Screen Shot
More than two decades ago, the personal computer was a stunning innovation that equipped a large and growing audience with powerful new technology for the first time. AMD64 technology is the next step in the evolution of PC computing, extending the original PC architecture to a new level of computing performance and capability.

AMD64 technology improves performance for PC-based games by evolving industry-standard technology from a 32- to a 64-bit architecture. 64-bit computing allows video games to process and access more data than is possible with 32-bit computing enabling a more realistic experience with faster frame rates and larger, more immersive worlds. AMD64 technology is an industry-standard approach to 64-bit technology that combines innovation, simplicity, and foresight to deliver the next generation of gaming performance today. Future releases of Far Cry will contain a beta version optimized for AMD64 platforms. AMD64 technology gives you the advantages of 64-bit computing while preserving compatibility with existing 32-bit software so you can run the 32-bit version of Far Cry now and upgrade to the version optimized for AMD64 technology when it becomes available.
Far Cry Screen Shot

Far Cry Screen Shot Far Cry is set in a carefree utopia of white sands, emerald jungles, and crystal waters fit for the inviting pages of a travel brochure. AMD64 technology enables these huge worlds that are rendered at very high frame rates to create a truly immersive, cinematic experience. The beta version of Far Cry for AMD64 platforms will offer gamers a preview of the potential of AMD64 technology to give you higher frame rates and the ability to play larger maps more efficiently.

AMD64 technology enables Far Cry’s next-generation engine to push the threshold of action gaming with unprecedented AI, Polybump™ mapping, advanced environmental physics, destructible terrain, dynamic lighting, motion-capture animation, and total surround sound. Far Cry’s unbelievable 800-meter draw distance redefines the idea of long-range gameplay. Far Cry Screen Shot
